LEGAL & TRUST

Acceptable-use policy

Use Menuji responsibly, protect restaurant guests and respect other accounts.

Lawful business use

Use Menuji only for lawful operations you are authorised to manage. Do not use it for fraud, impersonation, unlawful sales, harassment, exploitation, infringement or deliberately misleading food, price or payment claims. Restaurant owners remain responsible for the legality of their business activities and the content they publish.

Accounts and tenant boundaries

Do not access another restaurant, branch, employee account or customer record without authority. Do not probe identifiers to discover other tenants' records, bypass permissions or reuse leaked credentials. Staff must use access appropriate to their current role. Remove old staff and provider access promptly.

Payments and financial records

Do not upload altered receipts, mark unverified funds as received, misstate tax, conceal a refund, falsify cash handling or manipulate records to mislead an owner, guest or authority. A payment screenshot is evidence to review, not proof of cleared funds. Retain original history through supported correction and void workflows instead of trying to overwrite it.

Personal information and messages

Collect only information needed for an authorised purpose. Do not upload stolen records, government identifiers, card secrets, medical records or other sensitive information without a necessary supported lawful use. Obtain required consent for customer communications, honour opt-outs and follow the selected provider's template and sender rules. Purchased lists or repeated unwanted messages are not authorised by an account subscription.

System integrity

Do not distribute malware, overload the service, evade rate limits, scrape private records, alter clients to bypass review controls or disrupt another business. Security testing of production systems requires prior written authorisation and a defined scope. The security page explains how to report a suspected vulnerability without escalating access.

Uploaded materials and integrations

Only upload files, images, menu content and logos you have the right to use. Keep provider keys private, use the restaurant's own merchant and messaging accounts, and do not connect an account that belongs to someone else without authority. Do not attempt to enable chargeable AI routes or paid fallbacks through a feature restricted to free-only routing.

Reports and response

Report abuse to [email protected] with the relevant URL, account reference and a concise description. Avoid sending another person's private data where a redacted example will do. Menuji may investigate and take proportionate protective action under the agreement and applicable law. Urgent security or legal issues may require temporary restriction; this policy does not create a right to indiscriminate removal or excuse mandatory procedural duties.
